In a clear act of political theater the Governor from Illinois has appointed long time Illinois politician and African-American Roland Burris to the Senate. Will Senate Democrats deny the only African-American destined to enter the Senate this session? Lawyers will make a fortunate on this one.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who has been quite friendly in her words toward president-elect Barack Obama, recently made a startling comment saying that people will soon thank Bush for what he’s done. Well, like I am thinking with Obama, the proof will be in the pudding. Let’s see, right? That said, that would be one of the most remarkable turn around in presidential option since Harry Truman. Internet news buzz has shifted from the found remains to learning how Caylee died and why. This is the part of the story that can get really sad and scary. The police, this time, moved to the grandparents home armed with a search warrant. This seems somewhat late in coming. Why did they have to wait? This lag could have cost them some evidence. I am pretty sure that the parents of Casey Anthony knew that such a search was coming and also that a warrant was probably passable once the arrest of Casey was made.

The 22-year old mother of 3 year old Caylee Anthony is charged with first degree murder, our only hope is that they can put together enough evidence to fry this whack job.

The gay community is pissed. Barack Obama has selected evangelical Rick Warren, an outspoken anti-gay minister from California, to deliver the invocation at his inauguration. This has the gay community in an up roar, as it should. However, they shouldn’t be surprised with Obama’s pick. The certainly more evangelicals and gays and Obama needs their votes more, that’s for sure. Don’t think he isn’t already posturing for 2012.
